The guys have loads of baby products and loads of travel systems or prams.
If you've had a look at what you might like online before hand. Then you won't have a wasted journey. They are happy to recommend what might be suitable for your budget or your most important requirements on travel systems. Before you come to the store.
They are happy to show you exactly how everything works and how it folds etc.
Great products great knowledge great customer service.

Last minute, we decided the next day we wanted to visit Babygear. We emailed in the hope of them having an appointment free and they did. They replied very quickly and we couldn't wait to find a pram for our first baby. When we arrived we were welcomed by Derwent and Tracey. Both very welcoming and very helpful. We could pick any pram we liked and Derwent would show us everything the pram does.We were never made to feel we had to make a decision or was rushed. They allowed us as much time as we needed with each pram plus going back to the first pram we saw and looking again. Derwent was very knowledgeable about every item in the store. No question was too silly to ask. A lovely shop and we would highly recommend. We decided to go with an iCandy pram in a bundle which we love with a car seat and lots of lovely extras. Derwent packed our car up for us with all our purchases. The prices were reasonable and too good to miss out on. Other big companies would want us to buy the most expensive, but Derwent cared about what we needed the pram for and wanted to find the best one for us. Lovely little shop with lovely people. If you want a good, quality and personal service then you must go to Babygear. We were so happy to buy our purchases from here! Thank you so much for a great experience! We left with extra thank you goodies and feeling ready for when baby arrives! We will recommend you to everyone. Thank you!

Best customer service, and would highly recommend. Had a great experience purchasing our Inglesina travel system. Extremely knowledgeable advice was given and we were made to feel very at ease and had the chance to get hands on with the system. There is also a massive choice of all sorts of baby products. No question
was unanswered and the owners were so friendly, real customer service.
Absolutely wonderful experience at Babygear. With myself and partner becoming first time parents we have been a little overwhelmed with everything online and really wanted to speak to someone who knew what they were on about and test before we purchased. We booked an appointment to speak with someone and it was the best decision. Staff have fantastic knowledge about all of their products and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant, no pressure buying experience. We had all of our questions answered and loved the atmosphere and experience. It truly makes a real difference to buy from an independent shop as we felt like we had a real personalised service with plenty of time to test drive and figure out how it all works. Can’t wait to use our new travel system when the little one arrives.

Baby Gear have been brilliant helping us during the uncertain times we’re living in where we’ve had to buy a travel system for our baby without seeing it in ‘real life’. The service was wonderful and it’s great to support local. Great communication all the way and prompt delivery to our door. Thank you so much for helping us with a really important purchase for our little one! Also thank you for the goodie bag we shall be returning and looking forward to visiting the shop when it’s open again!

Derwent was so very helpful with finding me the travel system which I wanted.
I had researched the ideal travel system I wanted for the arrival of my twins, I researched different websites,prices etc.
But in fact Babygear was just as affordable as any other site I'd found online, so I am very happy I was able to not only support a local company, (which is why I came to babygear) but I also got a great deal too.
So please don't ever go straight online thinking you'll get a better deal because that is just not always the case!
Fast forward 6 months with my buggy apon swapping over the travel system I came across a problem with one of the fittings, and again Derwent was a massive help and has always replied straight away to all my emails along with also managing to get me a replacement fitting.
I'm so very happy with the fantastic customer service given throughout my experience with Babygear in Bridport, Thank you.

The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Good selection of products. Will certainly come back and support this business.
Quality, speedy service and great value. Bought a baby rocker. Wanted to avoid Amazon and shop locally - so pleased we did. Order arrived by hand next morning at no extra cost and with none of the annoying wrapping you get online. Thank you Babygear!
The array of items on offer is fantastic and there are always sale items in the foyer. The people who work there seem very nice but aren't very forthcoming with customer service. I am currently pregnant and have walked in twice only to be ignored twice by the staff, so they lost my custom......................................................................................
Babygear comment: This was a few years ago. To this day we can't fathom out how this happened. We would never wilfully ignore a customer and it simply wouldn't make good business sense to do so. This was in our old facility, where it was possible for a customer to enter and not be seen if they went into the other large showroom. We had a beeper on the door so we knew when someone had come in, we did find that occasionally a customer could pass the beeper without setting it off. We are truly sorry, it wasn't intentional.
