We got our pram from here and the knowledge and service from Derwent was amazing. Gave us tips on how to put it together which was really helpful and you definitely wouldn’t get that if you got your pram from a big store.

My daughter and I went to babygear today to look at prams and the lady and gentleman were very helpful , very knowledgeable and didn’t pressure us at all . My daughter purchased the pram and was impressed with the level of service given. I would highly recommend them .

My husband and I visited Babygear a couple of weeks ago after hearing some great reviews from friends and family members. We booked an appointment , but had no idea what we wanted (or needed!), just that a complete travel system would be ideal. The staff were incredibly helpful - showing us a few styles that would be most suited to us and our budget. There was no hard sell or trying to sway us one way or another. They were very honest about the quality of each travel system and how we could best spend our money that we had. We were shown each pram and carseat in detail and were able to move them around, collapse them and put them back up again, which was very handy! Once we'd decided on the one for us, they showed us how to install the car seat into the car with the isofix. They then boxed everything up and helped us load it all into our car. Once we'd paid, they gave us a goodie bag full of baby things, which was a lovely added touch and such a nice surprise. We wil be not be hesitating to recommend Babygear to everyone we know - they are clearly very passionate about what they do and there's nothing like picking out a travel system in person

Would highly recommend Babygear! Very knowledgeable got to know your needs & lifestyle, showed all the prams we were interested in no time limit and didn’t feel rushed in fact we went in twice ! No hard sale and it wasn’t about pushing extras or the highest priced item it was about what we wanted. Don’t buy online buy local & in store! We went for the Inglesina Aptika XT can’t wait to be able to take it for a spin !

We cannot rate this business highly enough. My wife and I walked in without an appointment one afternoon, without having done any research. The owners talked us through their range, told us what we should pay attention to, gave hands on demonstrations, and so on. We walked away greatly educated. Over the course of a week we researched online, everything we found supported what we were told in the shop. However, prices online were at best comparable, or at worst more dear. We wanted an integrated system, where compatibility is key, this is not clear online (e.g. what car seats work with which buggies). The following weekend we returned to Babygear Prams, were guided through the latest systems and safety standards, and ended up with a bundle of a buggy, carrycot, car seat, car base, etc. Now we are a few weeks into parenthood and having spoken to our peers from NCT and other baby groups, we know we paid less for a far superior system than they did. We will return without question for future booster seats, etc.

Requested an appointment through Facebook & Derwent got back to me very quickly! We had an appt the next day. Location was easy to find, it is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We were offered refreshments and had some time to browse the store to pick out a few brands that we liked. Derwent came back over to us and gave us in depth knowledge about each of the systems we picked out, demonstrated all of the features and let us have a go at doing it ourselves to see if it was suitable. I had researched some specific brands before attending the shop and ended up purchasing a travel system I hadn’t even considered, but was far more practical for our needs. The service here is second to none and I highly recommend expectant mothers to visit!

I’ve just received the pram I bought for my daughter who’s due in January- it’s absolutely lovely and such a great price 
was a bit concerned with us being up north but it came within 2 weeks of ordering and fed-ex delivery kept me updated. Great service and lovely staff who answered all my questions over the phone and confirmed my order. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from you in the future - Thank you xx

Really friendly and helpful service. They took the time to explain all of the available options to us in detail, providing demonstrations and offering us to have a go ourselves. Even when we collected our order, we were shown some ‘helpful tips’ on how to assemble our purchase.

Picked out baby girls pram from here, the service here was above and beyond. They took the time to show me and my partner the buggybwe wanted and all it does. No pushey sales or upsales. Was so pleased with it that when we collected our buggy bought other items from here. Highly recommended.

The guys have loads of baby products and loads of travel systems or prams.
If you've had a look at what you might like online before hand. Then you won't have a wasted journey. They are happy to recommend what might be suitable for your budget or your most important requirements on travel systems. Before you come to the store.
They are happy to show you exactly how everything works and how it folds etc.

Last minute, we decided the next day we wanted to visit Babygear. We emailed in the hope of them having an appointment free and they did. They replied very quickly and we couldn't wait to find a pram for our first baby. When we arrived we were welcomed by Derwent and Tracey. Both very welcoming and very helpful. We could pick any pram we liked and Derwent would show us everything the pram does.We were never made to feel we had to make a decision or was rushed. They allowed us as much time as we needed with each pram plus going back to the first pram we saw and looking again. Derwent was very knowledgeable about every item in the store. No question was too silly to ask. A lovely shop and we would highly recommend. We decided to go with an iCandy pram in a bundle which we love with a car seat and lots of lovely extras. Derwent packed our car up for us with all our purchases. The prices were reasonable and too good to miss out on. Other big companies would want us to buy the most expensive, but Derwent cared about what we needed the pram for and wanted to find the best one for us. Lovely little shop with lovely people. If you want a good, quality and personal service then you must go to Babygear. We were so happy to buy our purchases from here! Thank you so much for a great experience! We left with extra thank you goodies and feeling ready for when baby arrives! We will recommend you to everyone. Thank you!

Best customer service, and would highly recommend. Had a great experience purchasing our Inglesina travel system. Extremely knowledgeable advice was given and we were made to feel very at ease and had the chance to get hands on with the system. There is also a massive choice of all sorts of baby products. No question

Absolutely wonderful experience at Babygear. With myself and partner becoming first time parents we have been a little overwhelmed with everything online and really wanted to speak to someone who knew what they were on about and test before we purchased. We booked an appointment to speak with someone and it was the best decision. Staff have fantastic knowledge about all of their products and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant, no pressure buying experience. We had all of our questions answered and loved the atmosphere and experience. It truly makes a real difference to buy from an independent shop as we felt like we had a real personalised service with plenty of time to test drive and figure out how it all works. I massivly recommended Babygear, Bridport.
Derwent was so very helpful with finding me the travel system which I wanted.
I had researched the ideal travel system I wanted for the arrival of my twins, I researched different websites,prices etc.
But in fact Babygear was just as affordable as any other site I'd found online, so I am very happy I was able to not only support a local company, (which is why I came to babygear) but I also got a great deal too.
So please don't ever go straight online thinking you'll get a better deal because that is just not always the case!
Fast forward 6 months with my buggy apon swapping over the travel system I came across a problem with one of the fittings, and again Derwent was a massive help and has always replied straight away to all my emails along with also managing to get me a replacement fitting.
I'm so very happy with the fantastic customer service given throughout my experience with Babygear in Bridport, Thank you.

The array of items on offer is fantastic and there are always sale items in the foyer. The people who work there seem very nice but aren't very forthcoming with customer service. I am currently pregnant and have walked in twice only to be ignored twice by the staff, so they lost my custom......................................................................................
Babygear comment: This was a few years ago. To this day we can't fathom out how this happened. We would never wilfully ignore a customer and it simply wouldn't make good business sense to do so. This was in our old facility, where it was possible for a customer to enter and not be seen if they went into the other large showroom. We had a beeper on the door so we knew when someone had come in, we did find that occasionally a customer could pass the beeper without setting it off. We are truly sorry, it wasn't intentional.
