You can ask us to arrage courier collections of return goods within the return period. The charge is £12 per box. The goods will need to be packed securely. Payment and VAT
We accept most popular credit and debit cards. Payments may also be made via BACS, Standing Order or cheque.
The Baby Studio Ltd is VAT registered. All prices include VAT at the prevailing rates. Some product bundles include items with a mix of VAT rates, for example 5% for a car seat, 5% for the pram chassis if it is used as a travel system. 20% for other goods. Children's clothes are zero rated. Please contact us if you require VAT receipt.
Warranty
We offer a 1 year warranty on new products. In many cases manufacturers may offer 2 or more years warranty. These extended warranty periods are provided by the manufacturers and may require your direct contact with them. The Babygear warranty is limited to the warranty service provided by the manufacturer. In the event of a warranty claim check your product details first. Some of our Brands offer faster direct to customer support.
Warranty periods may be shorter for certain items, for example ex-display clearance items, B Grade usable items with some damage or blemishes or items that naturally have a short usable life. The warranty period for these items will be clearly noted in the product listing and replaces the 1 year warranty clause above.
A copy of your receipt is required to initiate a warranty claim. Manufacturers will not accept other forms of proof of purchase. For data protection we do not hold customer details for long periods. We therefore advise you store your receipt securely and perhaps email a photo of it to yourself so you have a digital copy you can always access if you lose the original.
Warranty issues are rare, but if you do encounter a fault, the product may need to be assessed to see if the issue meets the manufacturer's warranty conditions. The item may need to be shipped to the manufacturer for inspection and if faulty will be repaired. If a repair is not possible the item will be replaced. Call or email us to discuss the most efficient way to resolve the issue. In some cases it will be best for us to have the item back at the store and for us to send it to the manufacturer, in other cases some manufacturers will arrange collection and return directly with you in as little as 3-5 days.
Please ensure you carry out regular maintenance on mechanical products. (Prams, buggies etc) If no regular lubrication and cleaning has taken place we or the manufacturer retain the right to charge for repairs. It will be obvious to manufacturer Service departments if regular maintenance has not been carried out. In the absence of any specific instructions in the product handbook, we recommend you lubricate all moving parts of prams and pushchairs every 3 months using a silicone lubricant. Manufacturer's written instructions take precedence over this general maintenance advice. Babygear does not accept liability for damage to the product or other items as a result of following this advice.
Order Acceptance and Contract
We will acknowledge you wish to place an order for the items you have placed in your basket and checked out on the website. An acknowledgement is not an acceptance of the order and does not form a contract between us. We may refuse the order if the product is out of stock, if the payment security fails, if there is an error in the product's listing information on the website, if the delivery address is not within our delivery zones. A contract is formed when we dispatch the goods, at which time we will send a despatched email. Please be aware that leaving items in your basket without checking out will trigger automated reminders to proceed to purchase. By leaving items in the basket you authorize automated reminders. To stop reminders simply remove items from your basket.

You are responsible for the goods from the time of delivery.
Ownership of the goods will pass to you when we receive full payment in cleared funds of all sums due in respect of the Products, including delivery charges.
